Nigeria - Feasibility Study for Future Operations

Consultancy.  Large multinational construction company in oil & gas industry planned on deploying to Nigeria. Asked TOR to assist in pre deployment feasibility study.  Four TOR consultants deployed for three weeks working with client feasibility study team.

Task three-fold:

• To protect and advise client team
• To assess the current threat
• To advise on reducing risk to acceptable levels. 

Tasks carried out, TOR team worked closely with client to deliver concise report with recommendations.  As result, client changed original proposed location in country, committed to recommended security planning at pre deployment stage.  The client estimated this process will save $2.5 million long term.

Security Management & Equipment Procurement.  TOR procured, delivered and tested 15 4x4 vehicles for company operations, communications equipment, GPS navigation and satellite tracking for all vehicles (monitored worldwide).

Client successfully deployed and established in country.  Two TOR consultants remained in country for 6 weeks.  Advised client's staff on security matters, talked through options with Chief of Party and provided a comfort factor for all.  Our consultants drew up standard and emergency procedures in country, trained and familiarised all staff.  Evaluation 6 monthly.
