Sudan - TOR works with NGO on Humanitarian Aid Project

Security Consultancy. US Non Government Organisation awarded contract in Sudan. TOR recommended to NGO. They were to establish operational base in capital then travel to regions. NGO had limited budget, no Sudan experience and were reluctant to employ help, especially from former military people.

We are proud of our co-operation with NGOs and disaster relief and humanitarian aid effort in general. We understand the ethos behind this kind of work. We work with sensitivity, often behind the scenes organising logistics, security and getting things done to assist the main effort.

We reduced our standard prices to come within their budget.  We demonstrated to the NGO that we were not a standard 'military' security organisation.

Security Management. TOR designed and ran Hostile Environment Awareness Training for all NGO staff before deployment. We provided 2 TOR consultants for an initial 6 week period in country. Ongoing, TOR consultants are part of the team, advising, helping, liaising and managing all peripheral issues surrounding the client.

Staff report they feel safer and looked after by their company. NGO reports increased productivity.
