Dr Mal Macgown (President)
Mal founded TOR International in 1998. He brings to the company considerable business experience, strategic thinking and industry specific knowledge. Mal was born in Zimbabwe, graduated from Sydney University and has direct experience in primary health care including pre-hospital emergency services, as well as dental surgery. He served in the British Armed Forces for 9 years before returning to the private sector.
Qudus Saad (Vice-President)
Qudus joined TOR in 2004 with a wealth of Central Asian business experience. He has an international background in fuels, construction and supply chain management and is a Board member.
He drives business development principally in Central Asian and Mid- Eastern markets, liaising and negotiating at government level and providing critical oversight of all Company matters.
Piers Hill (Chief Executive Officer)
Piers has been involved with TOR since 2009, appointed CEO in early 2014. He brings with him extensive entrepreneurial and senior corporate experience. He has successfully grown businesses in fragile and challenging environments from South East Asia to Russia – he co-founded one of the largest demolition & remediation companies in Russia today. Piers holds a degree in Economics and Politics and a Masters in Business Administration (MBA). He served for 7 years in the British Armed Forces.
Clare Gilmartin (Director of Legal & Ethics)
Clare joined TOR in 2009 with a background in corporate and business affairs. She is responsible for oversight of all legal matters, contractual compliance and ethics. Clare was ‘Director of Business Affairs’ at NBC Universal International Channels in London for over 11 years. Prior to joining NBC, Clare worked as a corporate lawyer at the international law firm Taylor Wessing. She holds a degree from Oxford University and the London College of Law.
